Neilson Powless (Axeon Hagens Berman) topped the TT podium Friday, beating out two Silber Pro Cycling riders, and it was no surprise that Kristin Armstrong (Twenty16 Pro Cycling) took the win for the women at the Redlands 7.1-mile time trial at a cold and continually misting day. Armstrong is now ahead of Mara Abbott (Wiggle Honda) by 33 seconds.
The rain is forecasted to continue for the rest of the weekend.
How Arizona riders fared

Phoenix’s Lindsey Ryder, guest riding for SAS-MACOGEP-ACQUISIO p/b MAZ her first time at Redlands, finished 31st on the day and is in third place for the white jersey for best amateur rider. Ryder’s temporary teammate, Tucson snowbird Irena Ossola, took 51st. Phoenix’s Anna Sanders (Visit Dallas DNA Pro Cycling) finished 23rd.
