Clipped In is providing you with access to coverage of the first stop on the USA Cycling Pro Road Tour live from Anniston, Ala. hosted by former world tour pro Frankie Andreu and cycling commentator Brad Sohner.
Teams will battle it out at the 1km, four-turn Sunny King Criterium course on Saturday and the McClellan Road Race, featuring more than 7,000 feet of climbing, on Sunday.
Watch your favorite pro teams such as Lupus Racing Team, United Healthcare Pro Cycling, Visit Dallas DNA Pro Cycling, Rally Cycling and more battle it out to set the tone for the season.
Sunny King Crit live streaming begins Saturday, April 2 at noon CT
McClellan Road Race live streaming begins Sunday, April 3 at 10 a.m. CT
The McClellan course is a challenging 22-mile loop, with three substantial climbs on each long loop. The racers will battle over Bains Gap, with an average gradient of 10 percent along a one-mile climb that pitches up to 17 percent. The Pro Men will be tasked with a 91-mile distance and the women with 69 miles.
“The new McClellan Road Race has a beautiful route with hard climbs, which will be challenging in this early-season race,” Andreu said. “The combination of back-to-back racing days will be a great test for the cyclists to see who will start the 2016 calendar at the top of the rankings.”
