Washington, D.C.’s cross scene got down and dirty — and dusty — last weekend at the Armed Forces Retirement Home during DCCX, the second of two race weekends of the Parkway Trophy Series.
If Saturday’s dry and dusty conditions made for speedy laps, Sunday’s proved to be the exact opposite – a slogfest.
Becca Fahringer (Kona Maxxis Shimano) came out the victor of the pro women both days, doubling up on her two wins from Charm City CX the weekend before for a sweep of the series.
Clipped In contributor Kyle Helson was there to capture the grittiness of cross, on both sides of the coin.
