Just three weekends remain for cyclocross racing in Arizona, and after last weekend’s photo finish this could get tight.
Tyler Coplea (Trek/CXC) made it to the top of the podium Saturday in a tight race to the line against Kyle Reedy (Jetset Racing) at Phoenix’s Horse Lovers Park.
According to series points standings that were updated long before on Oct. 31, Reedy had a healthy lead of 54 points over second place Brandon McNulty (Landis/Trek) in second place with 34.5. Coplea was tied with Michael Castro (Bicycle Ranch Racing) both with 15 points.
For the women, Kimberly Lucie (unattached) took both the women’s open and Cat 3/4 podiums on Saturday and has a healthy lead of 54 points over Taylor Shekell (unattached) and Jennifer Camoriano (Two Wheel Jones Racing) in the series.
Three weekends of racing remain, including the series final and state championship.
