High temperatures and a late position on the calendar made field sizes small in Sunday’s Men’s 3/4 race at the second Avondale Criterium of the season.
With earlier races like the Men’s P/1/2 and 2/3 seeing breaks sticking from as early as five laps in, the coverage joins the race in progress with a two-man break comprised of Josh Christensen (Carlos O’Briens Racing) and Tobias Deardorff (The Velo Ambassador Team) trying to stay away from a chase group led by Jace Kuyper (Bicycle Accident Attorneys Racing).
Going off the front with two turns to go, Jace Kuyper (Bicycle Accident Attorneys Racing) manages to hold it together across the line with Tobias Deardorff (The Velo Ambassador Team) and Ryan Brown (GPE Racing p/b Athlete Octane) just a few bike lengths behind.
Thanks to John Vandercook (The Velo Ambassador Team) and Tobias Deardorff (The Velo Ambassador Team)for the onboard footage.
