Riders headed to Picacho Peak to test their threshold and look for personal bests Sunday at the Flapjack Flats Time Trial.
Matthew Riccitello (LUX Cycling Development Team) posted the fastest overall men’s time at 24:39 for the 20k out-and-back TT. Valerie Foland (unattached) secured the fastest overall women’s time at 32:29.
Conditions were clear on the course, which ran south on the frontage road near the I-10 and north on the way back. A moderate diagonal headwind coming from the southwest hit riders on the first half of the course, which made for faster speeds on the way back.
