Clipped In, Eliel unveil Pipes kit

What happens when clippedin.bike teams up with Eliel Cycling?

Magic.

The two teamed up to bring riders style, comfort and the opportunity to support their No. 1 cycling resource as it expands its efforts to grow the sport of cycling.

“It’s a two-handed post-up,” said Sarah Muench, publisher of clippedin.bike. “Our goal is and always has been to grow the sport, make it easier for riders to start racing and keep current racers in the peloton. The new kit is a stylish and subtle way of supporting that effort.”

Partnering with Eliel

Muench said Eliel was an “obvious choice” because the Vista, Calif.-based company is locally grown and has supported Clipped In as they both continue to expand.

“We’re couldn’t think of a better partner than Eliel,” Muench said. “Their excellence in cycling clothing is a testament to their own efforts to stay local and laser-cut their own products in-house. Eliel has been a big supporter of Clipped In and we’re excited to partner with them in this effort.”

Eliel makes custom kits for teams such as Arizona State University and the Surf City Cyclery team out of Huntington Beach, Calif. and stylish stock kits for cyclists looking to dress to impress.

The design

The Clipped In Pipes kit is a new take on Eliel’s original Pipes kit. The green stripes represent speed, and the murdered-out matte black Clipped In logo on the side-leg panel gives a dark side to your quad power.

Meanwhile, the minimalist style of logos add to the design aesthetic, and the #growthesport on the back of the bibs lets people know that while you’re a beast on the bike, you welcome more competition with open arms.

Muench said Clipped In decided to offer matching socks with the kit because “who wouldn’t want matching socks?” she said.

All proceeds from the kit will be put back into web development to continue website expansion and make cycling and racing more accessible to all riders.
