Day 2’s road race will move 25 miles north of Anniston to Piedmont and will provide nine categorized amateur and elite racing events for both men and women. The course traverses 40 miles of rolling terrain in Calhoun and Cleburne counties, from downtown Piedmont through the Talladega National Forest. Pro men will race two laps for a total of 80 miles while the pro women will only race 40 miles. Live race updates and photos will be provided for race fans via Facebook and Twitter. A portion of proceeds from all bicycle race registration fees will be donated to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life chapter of Calhoun County.
