Event Navigation

Apprentice Level 1 clinic is Saturday and runs from 9 am – 3 pm with a 30-minute – 1-hour lunch at 12.
Journeyman Level 2 clinic is Sunday and runs from 9 am – 3 pm with a 30-minute – 1-hour lunch at 12.
In level one, our Apprentice Clinic, we learn the proper riding positions, brake control, controlling skids, and shifting to maintain cadence. We cover an intro to corning with confidence, slow, tight turns, and talk about trail scanning and line choice. We spend the first half of the day working through each skill, running drills in an open grass area. After lunch, we wrap up drills before heading out on the trail to use our new tools. We will stop at different features to discuss and session. This class will set up brand new riders to take on green trails and can help beginner to intermediate riders refine their ability to ride with more control and confidence on green and blue trails.
In level two, the Journeyman Clinic, we recap riding position and then work on wheel lifts: front wheel lift, rear wheel lift, pedaling wheel lift, and level wheel lift. We also work riding roll downs, cornering, riding with flow, and seated climbing. Like level one, we spend the first half of the day working through each skill, running drills in an open grass area. Then, we head onto the trail to session spots where we can apply our new tools. This class builds on the level one class for brand-new riders, giving them the confidence to start riding blue trails and setting up beginner to intermediate riders to hit the trail with more flow and control.
Classes are for all ages. Kids wishing to participate should already be able to ride a bike and have a basic knowledge of how to shift. All participants must come with a bike in working condition, a helmet, and close-toed shoes.
In the event of bad weather or trail closure, we will do our best to reschedule. Refunds will be handled according to BikeReg policy.
