**Program Overview: What to Expect**

Embark on a journey with our rounded training program, spanning 10 engaging Saturday rides from February 10th to April 27th. These sessions will progressively advance from 33 to 70 miles.

Additionally, there will be six Rosie Up sessions for Paceline progression training on selected Sundays, and five or more Q&A sessions and off-bike clinics held on Thursdays.

The finale of the training program is a 100-mile all-women gravel century ride scheduled for Saturday, May 11th,  Mother’s Day weekend, . This event serves as a celebration of three months of hard work and dedication!

Our mission is to equip women like you with the tools and resources needed to explore and achieve your gravel endurance goals. We aim to foster confidence, empowering you to embark on more cycling adventures.

 

**Is This Challenge Right for You?**

1. Do you identify as FTWN-B?

2. Are you active for at least 3 days a week?

3. Do you ride at least 3 times a week, including virtual rides such as Zwift?

4. Can you comfortably ride 30 miles at a minimum average pace of 10 mph on flat gravel terrain?

5. Do you have a well-maintained gravel bike or plan to acquire one?

6. Can you commit to weekly training, attending a minimum of 5 group training rides?

Understanding the commitment and time required is crucial for successfully training for a century in just three months.

 

**Group Training Dynamics: What You Need to Know**

Our group training program revolves around one weekly route, and three pace groups with a ride leader and sweep:

  • A. 13-15 mph average
  • B. 12-13 mph average
  • C. 10-12 mph average

While these aren’t no-drop rides, there will be planned regrouping with a set wait time. It’s important to select a pace group aligning with your fitness level and riding experience.

 

**Group Ride Requirements**

  • GPS device and downloaded route
  • Well-maintained, ride-ready, gravel-appropriate bike
  • Adequate food and hydration
  • Weather-appropriate attire, closed-toe shoes, and a helmet
  • Complete flat repair kit with a spare tube and multi-tool
  • Emergency contact availability
  • Be ready for the pre-ride meeting 15 minutes before the start time
  • Adhere to road rules and safety guidelines
  • Support and follow your designated ride leader
  • Ride together as a team

 

**Century Day Highlights**

  • May 11th, 7:30am
  • Three led pace groups
  • Sponsored support stops
  • Finish line celebration.

 All group ride requirements apply on the event day.
