Delaware Gran Fondo

May 19

The Brandywine Valley offers some of the best cycling terrain on the East Coast.

Experience one of the most scenic cycling routes in the U.S. as the Wilmington Grand Prix’s 11th Annual Delaware Gran Fondo offers cyclists the unique opportunity to traverse a challenging 100-kilometer (62 miles) course linked by 13 cultural attractions, including stunning rides through world-class institutions such as Delaware Art Museum, Hagley Museum & Gardens, Granogue and Winterthur Museum, Garden and Library. The Delaware Gran Fondo will allow cyclists the rare privilege of passing through these attractions on the same ride. The 2023 Fondo was a sell-out with riders from 18 states and four countries, including Australia, Canada and Great Britian as well as Florida, Colorado, Texas and Illinois, participating in Delaware’s premier ride.

* Media Fondo (60-kilometer/32-mile course). All routes enjoy police-escorted mass start from Delaware Art Museum through Hagley Museum & Gardens & Winterthur Museum and Library. No timed climbs. Less challenging than Gran Fondo but some hilly terrain.
